The Department of Transport is inviting applications for a 12-month Internship Programme as a contribution towards skills development as well as awarding the unemployed graduates (18-35 years old) an opportunity to gain work-based experience in various skills areas.
Interns will be placed within the Department of Transport at Pretoria Head Office. It is therefore required that candidates should have their accommodation and transport. The Department of Transport would only pay a monthly stipend according to qualification ranging from R3 500 per month.
Requirements: Applications must have a diploma/degree in any one of the fields specified below. Successful interns will be expected to sign an internship agreement with the Department.

The successful candidates must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department. Applicants will be expected to be available for section interviews and assessments at a time, date and place as determined by the Department. An offer letter will only be issued to the successful candidate and once the following have been verified: educational qualifications, previous experience, citizenship reference checks and security vetting.
Applicants must be accompanied by form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service Department, (or at www.gov.za), and a recent updated comprehensive CV, as well as certified copies of all qualifications and ID document, service certificates of previous employers stating the occupation, must also be submitted and attached for each application. Failure to submit the requested documents/information will result in your application not being considered. It is the applicants’ responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). The department reserves the right not to fill the posts.
