Livingstone Kolobeng College History
We are located in a campus on just under six hectares, in the heart of Africa’s fastest growing city, Gaborone. Livingstone Kolobeng College is Botswana’s leading institution for secondary and bridging course studies. From day one, Livingstone Kolobeng College has been a co-educational independent secondary school and junior college dedicated to providing its students with quality education at a reasonable price.
Named in honour of Botswana’s first academic institution, which was established by the famous missionary Dr. David Livingstone in partnership with local Batswana in 1843, Livingstone Kolobeng College has built on the legacy of its namesake by combining the time-honoured strengths of Africa cultural values with a cosmopolitan outlook that prepares its students to meet the rapidly evolving demands of tomorrow’s global economy. Through the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) the College is internationally certified as an approved Oxford, Cambridge, and Royal Society of the Arts (OCR) examinations centre offering Cambridge examinations at the IGCSE and A Level.
In addition, the College aligns and accredit its Post-IGCSE (traditional Form 5) bridging course programme to the Cambridge A-Level programme (year one) and Diploma (year two) standards. Livingstone Kolobeng College is an Independent, Multicultural, Multinational and Co-Educational school. It is unified in that the Junior and Senior Secondary schools are on the same site. The school, when full, caters for up to 1000-day scholars in Form 1 to A Levels.
