ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
The Mintek Undergraduate and Postgraduate Bursary Programme aims to give back to the South African community, by enabling financially disadvantages students to pursue their tertiary education. The bursary also ensures that highly skilled and talented students are afforded the opportunity to study further.
Bursaries will be awarded to students within one of the following fields of study (undergraduate/ postgraduate):
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Metallurgy
- Mechatronics
- Nanotechnology
- Nanoscience

MORE ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE VALUE | SELECTION
The following expenses will be covered by the bursary scheme: registration fees, tuition, meals and accommodation, a textbook allowance and a laptop allowance. Undergraduate students will also be able to complete their vacation work at Mintek.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to attend an interview – should you not receive any feedback within 1 month of the application deadline, please regard your application as unsuccessful.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Good academic record
- Studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study (undergraduate/ postgraduate)
- Studying at a recognised tertiary institute in South Africa
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude
