A Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and interpreting physician orders and thereafter preparing medication. Pharmacists dispense medication by packaging and labeling pharmaceutical products and monitor drug therapies and advising of interventions.
Pharmacists earn an average annual salary of R390 000, with the entry level pharmacist earning R355 000 per annum and the pharmacist assistant earning R160 000 per annum.
