Programme details: The purpose of this certification is to produce Computer Hardware Technicians for the IT industry. This certificate is designed for individuals interested in acquiring advanced technical skills and knowledge to maintain and repair personal computers and basics of networking.
Students gain skills in selecting parts, upgrading, building and configuring personal computers, installing and configuring operating systems and learn basics of network protocols and internetworking.
The certificate in Computer Hardware Maintenance and Networking is a one year programme and is a Level 3 programme, at Botho University. There are two semesters in the programme, out of which the students will be expected to do an internship (Industrial training) in the second semester.
Computer Hardware and Networking are the major prime resources for these industries. The industries are rapidly increasing and the demands for such things are also increasing. Today the networking engineers who are in demand for the major industries helping them achieve the goals and success keeping them ahead of their competitors.

Admission Criteria:
Junior Secondary school leaving certificate such as JCE or equivalent. Mature Age entry criteria: Candidates above 20 years with at least 5 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years must be at Level 2 equivalent may be considered under mature entry criteria
