Do you just love numbers Do you enjoy working with people If the finance world intrigues you, then this opportunity may be ideally suited for you! Standard Banklearnershipsare offered to dedicated, talented individuals each year. Banking skills are taught by highly skilled people within the banking academy. This is a twelve-month-long project, that readying you for the world of banking.

A stipend of approximately R5000 is included for successful candidates, for the duration of the learnership. Upon completion, candidates will also receive a level 4 NQF National Banking Certificate.

There are numerous learnerships within the banking sector, some career paths may include the following options:

IT

  • Teller
  • Accountant

Industrial engineering

  • Home Loans Officer
  • Branch Manager

CIB

  • ATM Technician
  • IT Business Analyst

PBB

  • Debt Counselor
  • Treasury Analyst

Requirements

Candidates between the ages of 18 and 30. Candidates must include a detailed curriculum vitae with contact details, contactable references as well as any information they feel may be pertinent to their application. Please also include certified copies of all relevant certificates, ID, and proof of address no older than three months. Candidates must be permanent South African residents and citizens.

Most candidates will also be required to have the following:

  • Matric
  • English, read, write and speak
  • Computer literate
  • Candidates must not have a permanent employment
  • Be self-motivated and a team player
  • Candidates must not be registered with any other institute or learnership
  • Candidates must not be studying at an institute of higher learning
  • Flexibility with a commitment to learning but must also show a willingness to work

Candidates who apply will also be checked for the following:

  • Any and all credit records
  • All criminal record
  • Any registered employees dismissal processes
  • All references with previous employers
  • Any falsification of documentation

An online application will be made available once these programs open, you can then complete these and attach all required documentation. An online assessment is also made available for completion, candidates must pass this with a minimum of 60% to be considered. Lastly, a face-to-face interview will be scheduled.
