The Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA), is a parastatal established by an Act of Parliament, the Companies and Intellectual Property Act of 2011, CAP 42:13 to promote and enable the full protection of the rights of investors and right holders obtained under the Companies Act, the Registration of Business Names Act, the Industrial Property Act, and the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act.
The Authority is positioning itself for the advancement of its mandate and is searching for some dynamic individuals to take up the above position.
The main purpose of the job
To capture the day to day activities of finance-related transactions in order to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
Qualifications, experience and knowledge required
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Entry Level
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to record, classify and summarise transactions according to IFRS and company chart of accounts
- Operate basic modules of ACCPAC
- Ensure accurate capturing of transactions into systems.
- Ensure correctness of invoice calculations and services rendered
- Monitor outstanding billings
- Generate statements, provide the status of client and enforce client agreements
- Resolve internal and external queries and issues
- Stay abreast with new developments
