Programme details:Students who register in this programme will be trained in the latest trends of jewellery design using up-to-date technologies to produce 3D rendered jewellery designs. The programme also endeavours to bring out creative and skilled Jewellery professionals with a sound knowledge of business practices. Graduates will have an in-depth knowledge of jewellery design concepts, historical design, genres and visual or verbal presentation techniques, CAD and jewellery management fundamentals, equipping the graduate for a bright future in the Jewellery Management and Design Industry. Botswana is now a hub for diamond trading. The boom in the gem and jewellery industry has brought innumerable employment opportunities for jewellery designers. The global fashion industry also welcomes professionally qualified jewellery designers from across the world. With good experience, you can find a lucrative job in an international jewellery export house or jewellery designing firm. It also opens you up to other opportunities in the diamond industry and/or downstream diamond sector.

Admissions Criteria
1) Applicants are expected to have successfully completed secondary schooling. The typical entry requirement is BGCSE or IGCSE (in Botswana), LGCSE (in Lesotho) or other equivalent secondary school qualification. BGCSE or IGCSE (in Botswana), LGCSE (in Lesotho) candidates are required to achieve a minimum grade of ‘D’ in five subjects.
2) Applicants must have 10 points in English and Mathematics combined or 32 points in the top 5 subjects.
3) Applicants in possession of a Diploma or Higher Diploma in related field may be given exemptions based on the credit point equivalency
