Graphic Designer Intern
Graphic designers formulate visual concepts, by hand or using computer software in order to convey messages in an informative and fascinating manner. They develop the overall layout and production design for traditional publications such as brochures/pamphlets, magazines, newspapers and corporate reports. He/she will be the one to make visual improvements on digital and social media platforms, product packaging and exhibitions moreover.
For this role, it is vital to have a creative flair and an aptitude to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to have a chat with you.
Role in a nutshell
- Conceptualize visuals based on client specific requirements.
- Establish timelines for projects and outline financial thresholds (budget).
- Curate artwork, logos and other designs by hand or with the aid of software technologies.
- Select applicable/relevant colours, layouts and schemes for each graphic.
- Collaborate with copywriters and marketing team to produce final designs.
- Run graphic tests across various media.
Requirements
- A strong portfolio containing any graphic related designs works/projects.
- Knowledge/understanding of design software applications (with specific reference to Adobe Suite products such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
- Good eye for design (artwork development and correction).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Have a desire to meet targets/deadlines and attain performance of a high standard.
Education/Training
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or any training related to Graphic Design is a plus.
