Lucara Botswana (Pty) Ltd operates the Karowe Diamond Mine at Letlhakane in the Boteti sub-district. The plant was commissioned in April 2012 and has gone on to achieve exceptional performance. It is the source of some truly special diamonds The plant completed major upgrades that Include Introduction of X-Ray Transmission (XRT) technology In diamond recovery. This is adding to the already existing Innovative application of autogenous milling in diamond processing The Company Is embarking on projects, which entail enhanced large diamond recovery.

In preparation for the XRT Replacement project. Lucara Botswana invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions:

Project Engineer – Tenable in Letlhakane (12 Months Fixed Term Contract)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical / Structural Engineer will be the site Engineer responsible for construction and installation works at the XRT Replacement and Expansion Project and liaison with the EPCM, managing ail engineering work and resources on the project including; technical acceptance of the work, scheduling of work and engineering input to keep capital costs within budget, and to ensure that the technical integrity and work scope adherence is maintained throughout the construction and installation activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Eight (8) years experience in process plant engineering projects in the mining environment
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 qualification will be an added advantage
