The Electrical Engineering programme at Botho University runs for five years plus a six months sandwiched internship programme. There are eleven Sems, out of which the students will be expected to do an internship (Professional Practice) in one of the Sems.
There is a requirement for Electrical Engineers in the Botswana engineering industry. Local industries such as the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC), Botswana Telecommunication Corporation (BTC) and Morupule power station as well as many construction companies require the services of Electrical Engineers. Graduates can seek opportunities in international markets in the above mentioned areas of specialization.
