History of GIPS

GIPS is one of the leading premiers of Tertiary Educational Institution with a motto of “EXCELLENCE IN HIGHER LEARNING”. It was established in the year 1991 by Mr. ARJINDER PAL SINGH with a view to provide quality based education in Botswana. The institute prides itself in having other centres around the country in areas like: Lobatse, Francistown, Selibe- Phikwe, Maun and Kanye; Gaborone being the main campus.

The Institute is accredited with various International Bodies like AAT-UK. Besides that the Institute is also accredited by Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) for Certificate programmers and Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) for Diploma and Degree programmes. Both BQA and HRDC continuously monitoring the performance of the Institute with their norms and standards to ensure value based education and training to the citizens of Botswana. The monitoring includes Annual Reports and Verification Visits.

GIPS have pledged to contribute towards the achievement of vision 2016 of making Botswana an “EDUCATED AND INFORMED NATION”. GIPS is committed to contributing towards the accomplishment of vision 2016 through their MISSION and VISION such as evidenced by the MISSION and VISION statement.
