University Of Otago Entrance Scholarships

University of Otago Entrance Scholarships are for students who have not previously been admitted to the University of Otago and who are planning to undertake full-time, full year undergraduate study.

Entrance scholarships are a great way to pay for your university study.

What is a scholarship and who can apply?

A scholarship is an award of money to help pay for your university study. Scholarships may cover study fees or residential accommodation expenses.

Scholarships are available for full-time, first-year level undergraduate study.

If you are in a Residential College, you will use your scholarship to help with your costs, or if you have a fees-free first year, you can use your scholarship for your fees in your second year of study.

International students

International applicants who have not studied Year 12 and 13 at a New Zealand school or an equivalent foundation level course at a New Zealand tertiary institution are only eligible for the New Frontiers Entrance Scholarship, and application is by invitation only through the International Office.
