Letaba TVET College Nsfas Application

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a monetary guide strategy for understudies from the South African government that offers monetary help to hindered college understudies to help pay for the expense of their tertiary training in the wake of finishing secondary school. • NSFAS exists to provide financial aid to eligible students at public TVET colleges and public universities;
• NSFAS identifies eligible students, provides bursaries, and collects past student loan repayments to replenish the funds available for future generations of students; and
• NSFAS supports access to, and success in, higher education and training for students from poor and working-class families who would otherwise not be able to afford to study

The following Documents are needed;

• Consent Form: Download, complete, and sign the form
• SA Identity Document: Certified copy ID (not older than 3 months, certified copies of parent/s or guardian ID or Death certificate
• Proof of Income: Only if the non-SASSA recipient
• Persons with Disability: Complete the disability form (Annexure A)

To apply on the NSFAS website, you will be required to register first to create your personal online account, and then proceed to fill and submit the application form online.

It takes about 30 minutes to complete this online process, and must also have scanned copies of the following required attachments:

• Matric Certificate
• Identity Document/Birth Certificate
• Last Academic Results
• Proof of parent’s income (If parent/s employed)
• Death Certificate/s (If parent/s deceased)
• Doctor’s Certificate (If permanently disabled)

You need the following to complete your NSFAS application:

• Your own cellphone number and email address
• A valid copy of your ID or birth certificate
• A valid ID copy of parents, guardians, or spouse
• Your proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
• Your parents, guardian, or spouse’s proof of income
• If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
• Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form, click here to download
• An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form, click here to download.

How to Apply

You can apply online using a cellphone, tablet, or computer. Follow these simple steps to apply:

Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab

Step 2: Create a myNSFAS account

Step 3: Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and answer the questions on the screen

Step 4: Upload the required supporting documents then click on ‘submit

After you click on ‘submit’, your application reference number will appear on the screen. The reference number will also be sent to the cellphone number and email address you provided.
