Mopani South East TVET College Nsfas Application
Merit Bursary: This bursary is offered by the college and is granted in accordance with set performance criteria.
SRC Bursary. This bursary is for students elected into the Student Leadership and covers tuition fees only. All bursaries require 80% attendance as stated in the DHET Student attendance and Punctuality policy.
Other bursaries are also available as per adverts from institutions/industries even SETAs
NOTE: NSFAS Beneficiaries don’t qualify for Merit Bursary.

Compulsory Documents Needed;
- Consent Form: Download, complete, and sign the form
- SA Identity Document: Certified copy ID (not older than 3 months, certified copies of parent/s or guardian ID or Death certificate
- Proof of Income: Only if the non-SASSA recipient
- Persons with Disability: Complete the disability form (Annexure A)
To apply on the NSFAS website, you will be required to register first to create your personal online account, and then proceed to fill out and submit the application form online.
You may need about 30 minutes to complete this online process, and must also have scanned copies of the following required attachments:
- Matric Certificate
- Identity Document/Birth Certificate
- Last Academic Results
- Proof of parents’ income (If parent/s employed)
- Death Certificate/s (If parent/s deceased)
- Doctor’s Certificate (If permanently disabled)
You need the following to complete your NSFAS application:
- Your own cellphone number and email address
- A valid copy of your ID or birth certificate
- A valid ID copy of parents, guardians, or spouse
- Your proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
- Your parents, guardian, or spouse’s proof of income
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form, click here to download
- An applicant who is recognized as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form, click here to download.
How to Apply
You can apply online using a cellphone, tablet, or computer. Follow these simple steps to apply:
Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
Step 2: Create a myNSFAS account
Step 3: Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and answer the questions on the screen
Step 4: Upload the required supporting documents then click on ‘submit.
After you click on ‘submit’, your application reference number will appear on the screen. The reference number will also be sent to the cellphone number and email address you provided
