All students are encouraged to take advantage of this chance to apply online for NSFAS for the academic year 2022 by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). The NSFAS website will soon announce the opening and closing dates for all 2022 NSFAS online applications:

When is NSFAS Opening for Applications?
How to Apply for NSFAS, follow the step-by-step procedure below:
- To begin, you must create your myNSFAS account
- After that, you click the Apply tab
- Update all your NSFAS online Application 2022-2024 information.
- Upload your supporting documents
- Submit your application by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button
Required Supporting Documents: NSFAS Status 2022: Apply for NSFAS 2022/2024
The following are required to complete your NSFAS online application in 2022
- You must have your own cellphone number and email address
- You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
- You should also have copies of your parents, guardian, or spouse’s ID
- The proof of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable,)
- Your parents, guardian, or spouse’s evidence of income
- Those who are SASSA grant recipients, are not to have any proof of income.
- All Applicants with a disability are to submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
- All recognized applicants as Vulnerable Children by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form. NSFAS Application Status 2022
How to Apply
- Visit the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
- Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to click HERE
- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
- Update your personal information
- Answer the questions you see on the screen
- Upload all the required supporting documents
- Finally, you click on ‘submit’
