Processing Registration Nsfas Meaning | NSFAS aims to fund those interested in studying further but cannot afford to do so. The bursary offers two types of funding, which include university funding and TVET College funding. Their funding goes beyond tuition fees. However, only certain students are eligible. Those eligible for NSFAS funding will receive tuition fees, accommodation fees, transport allowances, living allowances, book allowances, and incidental or personal care allowances.

Successfully funded

Means: Application successfully processed and funding process has been completed.

Means: Applicant qualifies for funding, but we have not yet received admission confirmation from an institution. Until such time as admission has been confirmed, funding will not be approved.

Means: The application has been received and needs to be assessed by a caseworker at NSFAS to ensure that all information on the application has been correctly captured.

Application unsuccessful

Means: Applicant’s household income is above the R350 000 threshold and therefore rejected. Or applicant has previous qualifications and does not qualify for NSFAS. Or the applicant has not been admitted to a university or TVET College.
